Yorke

Yorke aka Grace Hughes crashed onto our radar in 2018, with her break-through debut single ‘First Light’. The Byron Bay local quickly followed it up with ‘Wake The City’ (2019) and the tender ‘Thought I Could’ the latter of which has amassed millions of streams and was added to triple j rotation. All 3 tracks appeared on Liberosis (2020), Yorke’s highly regarded debut EP, featuring artists such as LANKS and receiving triple j rotation on ’Nights We Waste’. Liberosis was quickly followed by ‘Gravity’, an explosive ear worm created with Japanese Wallpaper and Chris Walla and described by Billboard as a “pop anthem that shakes you awake”.

In 2021 came ‘Window Shopping’, a disco tinged pop song filled with energy that was quickly added to triple J rotation and described by presenter Bridget Hustwaite as her “favourite song for the week.” The track then took another turn, with the release of the alternative version featuring Rising US duo 'Joan’. This fresh new take catapulted Yorke to global heights, achieving goals she’s only ever dreamt about.

The last few years have seen Yorke support artists such as Lewis Capaldi (2020), Ruel (2019), The Veronicas (2020) and more, plus selling out both her 2019 ‘Thought I Could’ tour and headline Sydney show in Nov 2020. 2022 is set to be another huge year for Yorke, with new pop anthems and her biggest shows yet, just around the corner.
